Message "License is in use by other user. You cannot login!"during login

This can be caused by a number of issues.


  1. The license is registered on another PC running Legrand. Please check the Legrand serial numbers of all machines accessing the database.
  2. The windows user does not have read / write access to the Legrand database. Please have your network administrator check the permissions on the database folder (i.e. C:\Legrandcrm\demodatabase).
  3. The license control file may be ‘locked’ by windows. Please have your network administrator go to the database licenses folder (i.e. C:\Legrandcrm\demodatabase\licenses) and try to delete the file name Lserialno.lic. (i.e. L07898.lic).
  4. If you cannot delete the file because it returns a message that the file is in use, the next solution is to reboot the PC (if a local PC issue) or the server (if the end user is connecting to a database stored on the server)
